The large shore stones were used to make five tripartite free standing sculptures composed of a base, a columnar element, and a horizontally oriented stone on top. These compositions seemed to loom over the garden as its guardians, especially after they stayed upright through days of Santa Ana winds and some rare fall rainfall.
